A general engineering or fabrication workshop is one continuous handling chain: plates and sections come in, then get cut, fitted, welded, machined, assembled, painted and shipped — and almost every step is a lift. The crane or hoist over each bay quietly sets the pace of the whole shop.

This is LOADMATE’s home ground. We build single- and double-girder EOT cranes for the main bays, underslung cranes where headroom is tight, and jib cranes with electric chain hoists at individual machines and welding stations — each sized to the bay’s loads and duty so it keeps up, shift after shift.

Incoming steel plates, sections and billets are unloaded, stored and fed to cutting and prep machines. Heavy, awkward loads move all day — the bay crane sets how fast material reaches the floor.

Fabricated structures are assembled, turned and held for welding at many stations. Frequent, precise positioning is the rhythm here — ideally with a dedicated lift at each workstation.

What capacities do you supply for workshops?

From light 0.5–5 t chain hoists at benches up to heavy double-girder EOT cranes for the main bays — sized to your loads, span and duty.

Can you put a jib crane at each machine or welding station?

Yes — wall-mounted and pillar jib cranes with electric chain hoists give each station its own quick, ergonomic lift, so work never waits for the bay crane.

Do you have a solution for low-headroom bays?

Yes — underslung and low-headroom designs maximise hook height in sheds where roof clearance is limited.

Can the cranes handle double- or triple-shift duty?

Yes — we set the duty class (FEM / IS) to your shift pattern and cycle rate so the crane lasts under continuous workshop use.

Which standards do you build to?
