Electric Chain Hoists

Two electric chain hoists. Pick the one built for your bay.

LOADMATE electric chain hoists give fast, precise powered lifting for everyday loads. Choose the Euro series for standard headroom and versatility, or the ultra-low headroom hoist when every centimetre of hook height counts.

LOADMATE Euro Series Electric Chain Hoist

Euro Series Electric Chain Hoist

Compact, modern powered chain hoist for standard bays — quick, accurate lifting with hook or trolley mounting.

0.5–50 TCapacity
StandardHeadroom
Hook / trolleyMount

Best for: assembly lines, machine shops, packaging and general material handling where normal headroom is available.

LOADMATE Ultra-low Headroom Electric Chain Hoist

Ultra-low Headroom Chain Hoist

Integrated hoist-and-trolley built to sit as close to the beam as possible — maximises hook height and lift in tight bays.

0.5–50 TCapacity
MinimalHeadroom
IntegratedTrolley

Best for: low-roof bays, mezzanines and existing buildings where you need the maximum possible lift from limited overhead space.

Euro vs ultra-low headroom, line by line

The differences that actually drive the decision — headroom, hook height, mounting and cost.

  Euro Series Low-headroom
Lifting capacity 0.5–50 T 0.5–50 T
Headroom Standard Minimal — close to the beam
Hook height / lift 6m Standard Rise (6m+ on requirement) Maximum for the bay
Trolley Hook, push, geared or motorised Integrated low-headroom trolley
Lifting speed Single / two-speed / VFD Single / two-speed / VFD
Best use Standard bays, versatile Low-roof, retrofit, mezzanine
Design standard IS / FEM duty classes IS / FEM duty classes
Relative price Lower — standard build Higher — space-optimised

Capacities and duty classes are typical — final figures are confirmed per your application on the product datasheet.

Which one is right for you?

A 30-second decision

Run your requirement against these. If most points fall in one column, that’s your pick.

Choose the Euro series

The standard fit

  • Your bay has normal overhead clearance
  • You want a compact, versatile everyday hoist
  • Loads are up to about 5 tonnes
  • You’ll mount it on a hook or trolley
  • Speed and precise spotting matter
  • It’s a general-purpose lifting point

Choose ultra-low headroom

The tight-space fit

  • Overhead clearance is limited
  • You need to maximise hook height / lift
  • It’s a low-roof bay, mezzanine or existing building
  • Hoist and trolley must be one close-coupled unit
  • Every centimetre of lift counts
  • You’re retrofitting under an existing structure
Rule of thumb: normal clearance → Euro series. Limited overhead where you need maximum hook height → ultra-low headroom. Send your beam height and required lift and we’ll confirm.

What every LOADMATE electric chain hoist includes

Euro or low-headroom, the engineering underneath is the same standard — designed around safety, precision and uptime.

Duty-class engineering

Designed to IS / FEM duty classes for your usage, with rated load chain and a defined factor of safety.

Overload & limit protection

Slip-clutch or electronic overload protection plus upper / lower limit switches guard the load, the hoist and the operator.

Smooth two-speed / VFD lift

Two-speed or variable-frequency hoisting gives soft, precise spotting of the load and less shock on the chain.

Hoist-duty components

Crane-duty motor, hardened load chain, alloy hooks and branded electrics specified for continuous industrial service.

Hook, trolley or fixed mount

Supplied for hook, push, geared or motorised trolley mounting — matched to your beam and travel.

Pan-India supply & service

Stocked and supported across India, with spares and service so a hoist is never out of action for long.

Where each one works

Applications by industry

A starting point by sector — final selection always comes down to your load, span and duty cycle.

Assembly & production lines

Repetitive lifting and feeding of parts at standard headroom.

Often Euro series

Low-roof bays & mezzanines

Existing buildings where roof height limits hook travel.

Usually low-headroom

Machine shops & tool rooms

Loading machines, dies and fixtures with precise spotting.

Often Euro series

Retrofits & upgrades

Adding a hoist under an existing beam without losing lift.

Usually low-headroom

Packaging & warehousing

General material handling and palletised loads.

Often Euro series

Mezzanine & multi-level plants

Tight inter-floor lifting where clearance is at a premium.

Usually low-headroom

Questions buyers ask us

What is an electric chain hoist?

An electric chain hoist lifts loads on an alloy-steel load chain driven by a motor and gearbox — compact, low-headroom lifting for workshops and assembly lines, from 0.5 up to 50 tonnes, with pendant or radio control.

Electric chain hoist or wire rope hoist — which should I choose?

Chain hoists win on compactness and price for light-to-medium duty; wire rope hoists win on speed, duty cycle and higher capacities. Duty class and lift height usually decide.

What is the price of an electric chain hoist in India?

Price varies with capacity, lift height, speed and duty class. LOADMATE builds EURO and ultra-low-headroom series to IS standards — share your requirement for a quotation within 24 hours.

What’s the difference between the Euro and low-headroom hoist?

Both lift the same loads; the low-headroom hoist is built to sit much closer to the beam, so you get more hook height in bays with limited overhead clearance.

Can I add a trolley to traverse the load?

Yes. Euro hoists take push, geared or motorised trolleys; the low-headroom unit comes as an integrated hoist-and-trolley to keep the package compact.

What capacity and lift can you supply?

Send your load and required lift height and we’ll configure capacity, chain falls and speed to suit — standard models cover everyday loads.

Are they suitable for continuous duty?

Yes, when specified to the right duty class. Tell us your daily cycles and we’ll size the hoist for it.

Still deciding? Send us your numbers.

Share your load, lift height and overhead clearance and our engineers will recommend the right electric chain hoist — with exact capacity, speed and mounting for your bay.
