Overview

Double Girder EOT Cranes.

The Double Girder EOT Crane carries a top-running crab trolley across two parallel box girders, giving the highest hook height and the structural strength for heavy, continuous lifting. It supports an operator cabin, a walkway and an auxiliary (second) hoist where the application needs them.

LOADMATE builds double-girder cranes up to 250 tonnes with spans up to 50 m and lift heights up to 100 m, in duty classes M1 to M8, designed to IS 3177 / IS 807 / IS 4137. 100% radiography of bridge and end-carriage butt welds is available on request, and every crane is load-tested at 125% of SWL.

What is a Double Girder EOT Crane?

An overhead travelling crane with two box girders and a top-running crab trolley. It gives maximum hook height and the strength for heavy loads, large spans, an operator cabin and an auxiliary hoist.

What capacity can you supply?

Up to 250 tonnes, with spans up to 50 m and lift heights up to 100 m, in duty classes M1 to M8. Send your load, span and duty cycle and we’ll configure it.

When should I choose double over single girder?

Choose double girder above ~20 t, for spans beyond ~25 m, for maximum hook height, an operator cab, an auxiliary hoist, or heavy continuous M7 / M8 duty.

Can it have a second (auxiliary) hoist?

Yes — a main plus auxiliary hoist is common on double-girder cranes for handling two load ranges or for tilting / turning.

Do you offer weld radiography?

Yes — 100% radiography of bridge and end-carriage butt welds is available on request, in addition to the standard 125% load test.
