Overview

Crane Kit.

Many plants and fabricators can build a girder. What they cannot easily do is engineer the hoist, size the end carriages and wheels, calculate the wheel loads, design the electrical system, and make all of it work together as a crane that passes load test. The Crane Kit splits the job at exactly that line: you fabricate the structure, we supply and engineer everything that moves and everything electrical.

A kit includes the hoist, end carriages, long-travel and cross-travel drives, the electrical panel, DSL or festoon, and the pendant or radio control — matched to each other and to your span and duty, to 250 tonnes. Crucially it also includes girder fabrication design support: girder design, wheel loads and fabrication details, so the structure you build is correct for the equipment going on it.

Advantages

Why a LOADMATE kit.

Girder design included

The commonest failure in locally fabricated cranes is a wrong girder section. We give you the design.

Everything matched

Hoist, carriages, drives and panel engineered together, not assembled from catalogues.

Freight economics

Ship compact components instead of long girders — ideal for remote and export sites.

Commissioning support

On-site guidance through erection and the crane load test.

Manufacturer support

Spares and service come from the maker, not a trading company.

Any duty class

M3 to M8, including steel mill duty execution.

Configurations

Two ways to buy.

Crane kit

You fabricate the girder to our design; we supply everything mechanical and electrical.

Best for: Remote sites, export projects, and fabricators with their own shop.

Complete crane

We fabricate, assemble, load-test and commission the whole crane.

Best for: Single-point responsibility with no fabrication on your side.

Standards & compliance

Designed and certified to published standards.

IS 3177

Code of practice for EOT cranes

Design, construction, testing and operation of overhead travelling cranes.

IS 807

Structural design of cranes

Design, manufacture, erection and testing of crane structures.

IS 2062

Structural steel

Grade specified in the girder design supplied with the kit.

ISO 9001 + ZED

Quality & manufacturing

ISO 9001:2015 certified plus ZED Gold tier.

FAQs

Crane Kit — technical questions.

What exactly is included in a LOADMATE Crane Kit?

Hoist, end carriages, long-travel and cross-travel drives, electrical panel, power collection (DSL or festoon), and the pendant or radio control — all matched to each other and to your span, capacity and duty class. You supply and fabricate the girder, using the design we provide.

Do you supply the girder design as well?

Yes — girder fabrication design support is part of the kit. We provide girder design, wheel loads and fabrication details so the structure you build is correct for the equipment going on it. Building a girder to the wrong section or camber is the commonest failure in locally fabricated cranes, and this is exactly what the design support prevents.

Why choose a kit instead of a complete crane?

Freight and local fabrication economics, mostly. Girders are long and awkward to transport, so for remote sites or export projects it is often cheaper to fabricate the structure near site and ship only the engineered components. If transport is not a constraint, a complete crane carries single-point responsibility and is usually simpler.

Who is responsible for the load test and commissioning?

The crane is erected and tested at your site, with LOADMATE providing on-site installation guidance and commissioning support. Because the girder is fabricated by you, structural responsibility for it stays with the fabricator — we certify the components we supply and support the crane load test.

Can I use a kit to refurbish an existing crane?

Yes, and it is a common use. If the girder is structurally sound, replacing worn mechanicals and obsolete electricals with a matched kit is far cheaper than a new crane. We survey the existing girder before recommending it.

What is the typical lead time?

Standard configurations typically ship in 6 to 12 weeks from order confirmation. Engineered and hazardous-area kits take longer, and we confirm a delivery date in writing at the time of order.

Need a Crane Kit quote?
